Women’s Diagnostic Ultrasound Services

At Babies First Glance, we are committed to providing professional, comfortable diagnostic ultrasound imaging for women in Kissimmee and surrounding Central Florida. Our non-pregnancy diagnostic ultrasound examinations are performed by an ARDMS-registered sonographer with specialties in OB/GYN and abdominal imaging.

Provider Order Required

A referral or imaging order from a licensed healthcare provider is required for all non-pregnancy diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Non-Pregnancy Ultrasound Services & Common Indications

Diagnostic ultrasound may be ordered by your healthcare provider to evaluate symptoms, monitor known conditions, or obtain additional information about specific organs and structures. The type of ultrasound performed will be based on the imaging order provided by your healthcare provider.

Pelvic Ultrasound

A diagnostic pelvic ultrasound may be ordered to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures.

Ovarian Cysts: May be evaluated in patients experiencing pelvic pain, bloating, irregular cycles, or other symptoms.
Fibroids: May be evaluated when patients experience heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, pain, or other related symptoms.
Endometriosis-Related Concerns: Pelvic ultrasound may be part of the diagnostic evaluation when ordered by a healthcare provider.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Concerns: Imaging may be ordered as part of the evaluation of pelvic pain, abnormal discharge, fever, or other symptoms.

Transvaginal Ultrasound

Transvaginal ultrasound provides detailed diagnostic imaging of the uterus, ovaries, endometrial lining, cervix, and surrounding pelvic structures.

Uterine and Ovarian Evaluation: May be ordered for irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, fertility-related concerns, or other symptoms.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): Ultrasound may be used as part of a broader medical evaluation when ordered by a healthcare provider.
Uterine Abnormalities: Imaging may help evaluate fibroids, polyps, endometrial findings, and other uterine concerns.

Thyroid Ultrasound

Diagnostic thyroid ultrasound provides detailed imaging of the thyroid gland and surrounding structures in the neck.

Neck Lumps or Swelling: May be ordered to evaluate thyroid nodules, cysts, enlargement, or other structural findings.
Thyroid Concerns: Ultrasound may be ordered after abnormal examination findings, bloodwork, or other clinical concerns identified by a healthcare provider.

Abdominal Ultrasound

Diagnostic abdominal ultrasound may be ordered to evaluate organs and structures within the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and abdominal aorta.

Abdominal Pain or Discomfort: Imaging may be ordered to evaluate possible abdominal causes.
Gallstones or Kidney-Related Concerns: Ultrasound may assist the radiologist in evaluating stones, obstruction, swelling, or other findings.
Liver or Gallbladder Evaluation: May be ordered for abnormal laboratory findings, jaundice, pain, nausea, or other symptoms.

Kidney (Renal) Ultrasound

Diagnostic renal ultrasound evaluates the kidneys and urinary structures based on the imaging order provided by your healthcare provider.

We offer self-pay diagnostic imaging and do not require insurance.

Professional Radiologist Report

After your diagnostic ultrasound is completed, the images are submitted to a licensed radiologist for professional interpretation. A written radiology report is generated following the examination.

You should review your results with your referring or treating healthcare provider, who can discuss the findings with you and determine whether additional testing, treatment, or follow-up care is needed.
