How Lab Billing Works.
You pay Babies First Glance: $99 for NIPT, $155 for NT only, or $249 for NIPT + NT.
The NIPT lab bills separately: Its portion is up to $349 before insurance or financial help.
The lab accepts all insurance plans for billing review and offers financial assistance. Your lab balance could be reduced to $0 if eligible, but this is not guaranteed.
After results are ready (usually in 1–2 weeks), the lab handles coverage and assistance in its patient portal. Babies First Glance cannot determine your assistance amount. The separate lab bill usually arrives around 30 days after testing.
Our office fees are non-refundable and are not covered by the laboratory's insurance or assistance programs.

Questions Before You Book?
Is the NIPT blood test only $99?
$99 is the Babies First Glance office fee paid on your appointment day. The genetic lab charges separately, up to $349 before insurance or financial assistance. We do not quote one combined price because the lab amount varies.
Can insurance or assistance make my lab bill $0?
Possibly. The lab accepts all insurance plans for billing review and offers financial assistance. The lab determines your final balance through its patient portal after results are available. A $0 lab bill is not guaranteed.
When can I have the tests?
NIPT can be done from 10 weeks pregnant. NT ultrasound is generally performed between 11 weeks and 13 weeks, 6 days, provided the baby's size is in the proper range.
When will I get NIPT results?
Usually in 1–2 weeks after the lab processes the blood sample. Some results may take longer.
Does NIPT diagnose Down syndrome?
No. NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnosis. It checks the chance of certain chromosome conditions. A high-risk or unclear result should be reviewed with your prenatal healthcare provider.
Can I find out if I'm having a boy or girl?
NIPT can often provide fetal sex information starting at 10 weeks. It is optional, and no result is guaranteed.
